Alexis Quintero Has Designed Our New Favorite Nike Collaboration
Nike enlists the LA-based model to create a range of crewnecks, bike shorts and more.
With quickly sold-out collaborations that bridge the gap between sportswear and fashion, including its AMBUSH collection and the Martine Rose Air Monarchs, Nike is easily one of the most sought-after brands today. And its latest partnership with Los Angeles-based model and creative Alexis Quintero might just be our new favorite.
Born and raised in East Los Angeles, 25-year-old Quintero is the owner and founder of Fruta de Dulcé, a tasteful online retailer selling used and vintage designer apparel, footwear and accessories. As part of Nike’s new initiative, LA Editions, which promotes collaboration between the brand and young icons of the city, Quintero has teamed up with Swoosh to design a collection of oversized crewneck sweaters, unisex T-shirts, split-tone bike shorts and more items emblazoned with LA-inspired graphics and a gothic-style Nike spelled-out logo.
The Nike by Alexis Quintero collection will become available on Friday, March 1 at nike.com. Those who reside in LA may also find the collaboration in-store at Nike The grove, Nike Santa Monica and Nike by Melrose.
