Wood Wood has a clear sensibility for combining and pulling elements from both high-fashion, sports and streetwear culture and the latest Spring/Summer 2019 collection titled “The Outside” is no exception. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark the contemporary fashion and lifestyle brand founded in 2002, sought to create a SS19 collection infused with updated sportswear separates including tracksuits, breezy spring dresses and versatile printed pieces.
This season, the cult-brand explored the notion of travel by incorporating nature-inspired prints like a boldly-hued floral pattern appropriately called the “Travel” print which was cast onto short-sleeved shirts, sweatshirts, skirts, dresses and must-have bucket hats. Sporty separates, like tracksuits and hooded jackets were given a modern overhaul with the use of classic hues like navy, bright blue and black along with, a mix of icy pastels and bright shades like orange. A variety of signature denim pieces like fitted denim jackets, skirts and jeans were also incorporated, fashioned in a mix of earth-toned and faded blue washes.
