Nike's Air Max 1 "Schematic" Sneakers Will Be Dropping Stateside Soon
Mark your calendars.
UPDATE (August 4, 2019): Following several global releases of the Nike Air Max 1 “Schematic” across the world, the highly anticipated sneaker officially receives a stateside launch date. Observed by users of Swoosh’s SNKRS app, sneakerheads in the USA will be able to shop the release when it drops on August 9.
Following Nike‘s Tinker Hatfield-inspired Air Max 1 “Sketch To Shelf” in “University Red,” the Swoosh brand has now revealed white and black iterations for its “Schematic” design. The two sneakers follow the same sample mock-up theme featuring graphics based on the American designer’s illustrations.
The silhouettes explore the process and construction of the Air Max, with detailed notes and sketches doodled across the sneaker’s surface. In the monochrome schematic colorways, both are done up with contrast stitching, “SAMPLE, PROPERTY OF NIKE NOT FOR RESALE” stamped inside and Tinker Hatfield‘s signature on the heel, giving the shoes a blueprint-like feel.
You can cop the Nike Air Max 1 “Schematic” in white and black for €149 EUR (approximately $168 USD) at select retailers such as Afew’s online store on July 20. For more from Nike, take a look at our style guide to the footwear brand’s FIFA World Cup collabs.
