Here's a Closer Look at Nike's Tinker Hatfield-Inspired Air Max 1 "Sketch To Shelf"
Cop it in “University Red” or “Neutral Grey.”
Nike‘s classic Air Max 1 sihouette has had its fair share of limited edition designs and unique colorways since its debut in 1987. This week, the brand is set to launch the “Sketch To Shelf” Tinker Hatfield design inspired from the original’s first release.
The “University Red” colorway is styled in the form of barebones and mimics the Hatfield mock-up while roughly coloring in the logo, insole, and heel in red. Its suede detailing looks rough making the shoe look like a sample and is incorporated with markings of exact specifications. Its plain counterpart “Neutral Grey” has a more minimal design that imitates black markings and measurements that would have been on original designs and mockups. It’s also embellished with denotative typography and consists of contrast stitching in dark black.
You can cop these for $150 USD on July 13 at select retailers, Nike.com and UNKNWN.com. For its highly anticipated stateside release, sneakerheads can expect to shop the release when they launch on the SNKRS app come August 9.
In the meantime, have you checked which sneaker you should be wearing based on your birthstone?
