With the holiday season officially here, Mariah Carey has now teamed up with Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson for a highly anticipated performance of “Oh! Santa.” The release arrives as part of the “Touch My Body” singer’s Christmas special, which premieres on Apple TV+ today.
A few weeks ago, Carey announced her latest project titled Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, later unveiling a star-studded lineup including the likes of Snoop Dogg and Tiffany Haddish. The epic production will be a mix of musical performances, dancing and animation. “Faced with a holiday cheer crisis, the North Pole knows there’s only one person who can save the day: Santa’s great friend, Mariah Carey,” the synopsis reads.
Ahead of the release, Grande took to Instagram to share her excitement for the team-up, with a screenshot of an old tweet to Carey from 2011 reading, “I love you.” In the new performance, the three divas are dressed in festive outfits, singing Carey’s iconic Christmas hit that first debuted back in 2010. The project features more festive tunes such as “Sleigh Ride” in addition to “Oh! Santa.”
