Virgil Abloh Goes Technical for Louis Vuitton 2054 Collection
The ultimate balance between style and functionality.
Continuing last year’s range, Virgil Abloh has now delivered the second installment of Louis Vuitton‘s 2054 collection for the Pre-Spring 2021 season. The lineup highlights the balance between style and functionality through the use of technical materials such as nylon.
This time around, LV presents garments designed for multi-climatic settings inspired by methods used in skiwear. The collection is all about transformability, with a shirt self-compressing into a crossbody bag through a technique dubbed “Compressomorphosis.” Elsewhere, LV monogram jackets sport unique zipper details to complete ergonomic designs. Track pants arrive in matching patterns and colors, boasting a tech-inspired, reflective effect. “Louis Vuitton 2054” lettering is seen throughout on items like knit sweaters and tees, referencing the luxury house’s 200th year. The range is rounded off with a pair of black sneakers making its debut in the same three-dimensional logos found on the clothes.
