Fans Express Concerns Over the Size of Japan’s Super Nintendo World
The site seems significantly smaller than the neighboring ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Jaws’ theme parks.
While fans are excited for the official opening of Osaka‘s Super Nintendo World slated for 2021, aerial footage of the new theme park has sparked debate on social media for its unexpectedly small size. Located near Jaws and Harry Potter-themed attractions, the site seems to be crammed with all of its key rides including the real-life Super Mario Kart experience. Some have raised questions such as, “Keep in mind that a Donkey Kong area is going to be added,” and “Is this where the coronavirus will be cultivated?” with the recent spike in confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city. Although the space is larger than a typical parking lot, many are wondering how Universal Studios will ensure safe social distancing measures when the park opens its doors next year.
