CFDA Appoints CaSandra Diggs President
Diggs joined the organization in 2001.
The CFDA has promoted CaSandra Diggs, who most recently held the title of chief administrative and financial officer, to president of the organization. Diggs, who has worked at the CFDA since 2001, will report to CEO Steven Kolb and the board of directors.
“CaSandra is an innovative thinker with a strong understanding of organizational and business operations,” Kolb said in a statement. “Expanding her role will provide the CFDA with more opportunity to meet the needs of the membership in a broad and diverse way. It is a critical time for our industry, and she is the right person with the right ideas to help lead CFDA into the future,” he added.
Tasked with developing strategy to further champion the fashion industry and its talent, Diggs will likely work on the CFDA’s recently announced steps to diversify the business. “I am delighted to join [Chairman] Tom Ford and Steven Kolb as we continue to advance and evolve the CFDA into a modern, forward thinking organization that is reflective of our times,” Diggs said of her appointment.
