Helmut Lang Taps Artist PZ Opassuksatit for Staple Hoodies and Sweaters
Welcome to “HelmutLand.”
Having released its Pre-Fall 2020 range with Willie Norris, Helmut Lang has now tapped artist PZ Opassuksatit for the second time for the Fall/Winter 2020 season. Titled “HelmutLand,” the lineup features wardrobe staples like tees and hoodies.
An imaginary location celebrating the label’s heritage, “HelmutLand” serves as a place where Helmut Lang fans can escape and be themselves. Taking inspiration from iconic archive pieces, the capsule features futuristic graphics such as a mouse mascot on a green knitted sweater. The collection also includes a T-shirt and hoodies sporting “WELCOME TO HelmutLand New York” text printed at the front. Accompanying the latest release are visuals directed by PZ, highlighting a trip to “HelmutLand” on the Head ‘95 Rocket. A five-minute-long video illustrates tutorials of outer space activities.
