Colgate's Pastel-Colored Electric Toothbrush Guides You to Brush Your Teeth Better

Connect it to your Apple Health app to track your personal dental data.

Colgate has unveiled a new smart toothbrush called hum by Colgate. Developed to guide its consumers to brush their teeth better, the dental tool consists of smart sensors that track the frequency, duration and coverage of your brushing style. Bill van de Graaf, Vice President of Marketing in North America, said in a press release:

“hum by Colgate was designed with the consumer in mind to create a more accessible smart electric toothbrush to help more people brush better. hum also meets the consumer demand for a lightweight and sleek toothbrush that delivers a powerful clean. For consumers, good habits are key to staying happy and healthy, and they prefer brands that help them build those habits in easy and fun ways.”

Providing a personalized experience, the toothbrush aids you to target specific spots that need extra cleaning. Additionally, it is packed with powerful 3D sonic vibrations and has been incorporated with patented bristle technology. To access your personal data, simply connect your hum to Apple‘s Health app or the hum by Colgate app, which can store information offline for up to 10 days.

To add an additional fun factor to your dental hygiene routine, Colgate will reward you with points on its app every time you improve your brushing technique. These points can be used to purchase any product in its in-app shop, including hum refill brush heads and other items from partner brands.

hum by Colgate’s rechargeable toothbrush retails for $69.99 USD, while the battery-powered iteration is priced at $49.99 USD. You can purchase hum now directly from the hum by Colgate website, or on Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart and other select retailers next month.
