How the November Full Beaver Moon Will Affect Your Zodiac Sign
The cosmic event will coincide with a partial lunar eclipse.
The full moon on November 19 will occur at the end of Taurus, activating the Taurus-Scorpio axis, which represents groundedness and stability for Taurus, and deep, all-consuming and overwhelming passion for Scorpio.
The upcoming cosmic event is also known as the Beaver Moon — in folk tradition, this time of the year is when beavers begin to take shelter in their lodges in anticipation of the long winter ahead. However, the energy of this full moon does not align with the innocence of its name. “The exact degree in which it is going to happen is 27 Taurus, and in the mind of an experienced astrologer, this particular point on the zodiac wheel immediately raises a red flag,” Yana Yanovich, a Western astrologer of Nebula, explains. “You see, right next to it is a malicious fixed star of Algol residing just one degree away, at 26 Taurus.”
According to Yanovich, “algol” means “head of a demon” in Arabic. “Of course, it might not mean such a drastic peril in its literal meaning, likely just a heightened risk of head injuries and trauma,” Yanovich elaborates. “Figuratively speaking, however, there is a certain danger of losing your head and doing things that you would not normally do or even consider. Making an illogical decision, an irrational investment or purchase, getting involved with someone you normally stay away from — you name it.”
Read on to find out how the Beaver Moon will affect your zodiac sign and what you should avoid doing in the next few days.
What is a partial lunar eclipse?
An eclipse is a phenomenon when one heavenly body moves into the shadow of another heavenly body. In this case, it will be the moon in the shadow of the Earth. Eclipses normally increase whatever energy an astrological event carries, so it is very lucky that this eclipse will be partial, not a full one. Think of it as a mild boost to the heightened energy of the full moon in conjunction with Algol.
Effects of the full moon on each zodiac sign
Since the full moon is happening at 27 degrees of Taurus and Scorpio, this means that the span of about seven degrees is affected for each sign mentioned below — three degrees before and three degrees after. If your birthday falls between the 15th and the 22nd of your calendar month, you will surely have your sun positioned in this area. If you weren’t born on those dates, you might still have some other important planets in the specified degrees of the zodiac (from 23 to 30 degrees of each sign).
Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus, Leo
Stay alert before and after the full moon. Are you being irrational? Are you itching to do something out of the norm? Is someone around you trying to get you involved in something unnecessarily risky? If you have an opportunity to keep things on the down-low, make sure you do so because you will definitely be keeping yourself out of trouble.
Virgo, Capricorn, Pisces
While the harsh planetary configurations are wreaking havoc on the rest of us, your planetary placements in these three signs are creating harmony and powerful formations such as Kite and Cradle. Without getting into details about those, I can say that they are charged with creative and productive energy and can help you get important things done or started. Perhaps losing your head just a little would be a good thing if it is concerning something you’ve been wanting to do for a long time. However, make sure the unusual behavior is still controlled and measured to avoid complications after.
Cancer
Pluto is making an opposition to your placement from the last degrees of Capricorn, making this entire year pretty intense and overwhelming. Going out on a limb and stretching yourself even further might be a little too much for you. If it is something not important or serious, you can still go for it. Just remember to take it easy, as if you’re only allowed to use 50% of your energy.
Aries, Libra, Gemini, Sagittarius
The full moon placement does not directly affect these signs, especially Libra and Aries. Please remember that this only refers to the position of your sun. Check your natal chart to see if you have other planets in the signs from the two groups above and read the relevant advice.
