This Is What Orgasms Sound Like as Music

Created by sex toy brand LELO to promote the significance of sexual intimacy.

Sex toy brand LELO has tapped into the world of music by creating its very own album produced out of real orgasm sounds.

Composed in collaboration with Matt Emery, the five-track record was made with the help of volunteers — including straight and LGBTQ+ couples, the elderly and more — who “donated” their orgasm sounds to the project. According to Emery, the result of the beats captured “the energy, tempo and feel of each individual experience.”

Each song features a different genre inspired by the tone and feel of the specific orgasm. “Instruments also played a big part in this, as I chose instruments not just for the melody or rhythm aspects but also to match certain characteristics of each orgasm too,” Emery added. “Be that the more intimate breaths captured when recording the saxophone, the inner mechanics of the piano, or the explosiveness of switching between clean and distorted guitars.”
