Nike Honors Paris With an Air Force 1 Mid

Celebrating the AF1’s 40th anniversary.

According to Nike, the Air Force 1 sells upwards of $800 million USD per year. The iconic design has seen countless iterations since its release in 1982, serving as the canvas for iconic collaborations with brands such as Off-White, Supreme, COMME des GARÇONS, UNDEFEATED and Louis Vuitton. 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1. As such, sneaker fans can expect to see a bevy of releases including this Air Force 1 Mid “Paris.”

Part of a collection dedicated to iconic cities, the “Paris” comes in tumbled leather in a “Pollen,” “Blue Void,” “Cashmere” and “Green Noise” colorway. Other design details include an embroidered “75” as a callout to the city’s postal code, metal deubrés resembling Parisian street signs, and triangular toe perforations presumably honoring the Louvre.

Look out for the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Paris” to release in Summer 2022 via Nike’s website and select retailers.
