Satisfying a sweet tooth has never been simpler with the all-new Pop-Tarts and Lyrical Lemonade collaboration. The Kellogg-marketed brand and multimedia company have joined forces to release a capsule collection featuring back-to-school gear and a new limited-edition flavor of the ever-so-popular pastry. 

Ahead of its release, the duo celebrated their collaborative effort with an experiential, pop-up event that was open to the public. Held in sunny Los Angeles on August 13, about a hundred foodies and fans of Lyrical Lemonade alike were set up for the upcoming school year as the Lyrical Lemonade team, including artist Kodone, frosted school staples like backpacks, tote bags and skateboards, each decorated with Pop-Tarts-inspired art. Even Storm Reid, Euphoria actress and soon to be college freshman, stopped by to get some gear customized. 

Hundreds more visitors were also on the receiving end of merch packs which included 250 limited-edition boxes of the new Pop-Tarts flavor Lemon Créme Pie, designed by Cole Bennett, the founder and mastermind behind Lyrical Lemonade, famous for catapulting artists like Juice WRLD, Lil Skies, and Lil Tecca into the mainstream with amazing music videos.

By the end of the pop-up attendees had peeled off all of the vinyls lining the walls for personal keepsakes and even asked staff for their Pop-Tarts x Lyrical Lemonade branded work shirts. The demand for the boxes was so high that on the following day, the official Lyrical Lemonade website sold out of the Lemon Créme Pie Pop-Tarts in 90 seconds and can now be found on resale sites like Grailed for as much as $400 USD.

But, not all is lost for the fans who weren’t able to cop the satisfying snack last Saturday as another drop is slated to launch this Friday just in time for National Lemonade Day, and on launch day for Lyrical Lemonade’s The Summer Smash festival. For Chicago natives and visitors, 20 boxes of the Lemon Créme Pie flavor will be available to the first 20 people in line at Boneyards in the windy city. Double the amount and also the last 40 boxes of the flavor, will be part of Pop-Tarts giveaway that will be launching on their Instagram starting Friday morning. Stay alert and vigilant to catch the last of these tasty, limited-release snacks on August 20.
