The Weeknd's XO Drops OG 'Thursday' Mixtape and Anime-Inspired Merch
A 13-piece collection created in collaboration with MR., a Japanese artist.
In celebration of its 10th anniversary, The Weeknd‘s Thursday mixtape has been released as a standalone album on major streaming platforms via XO and Republic Records.
Thursday is the second mixtape in the artist’s compilation album Trilogy, and this is the first time fans get to listen to the project in its original format. In addition to the album, The Weeknd has launched a 13-piece anime-inspired merch collection created in collaboration with MR., a Japanese artist. The range includes a premium Roots Award jacket, hoodies, tees, a collectible figure, a rug, three exclusive prints and more.
“I was honored to be asked to create the artwork for the album Thursday’s 10th-anniversary release,” MR. shared in a press release. “I wanted to evoke a sense of daily life in my version of the cover. I hope The Weeknd fans will enjoy a week like this.”
You can now stream Thursday on Spotify and Apple Music. The merch and limited edition 2-LP vinyl of the mixtape are now available to purchase on The Weeknd’s official web store.
