Camila Cabello’s Butterfly Clips Will Make You Miss the '90s

Like, totally, right on.

You can never go wrong with a ’90s beauty moment, especially when it comes to hairstyle inspiration. Our favorite celebrities at some point have jumped on the nostalgic bandwagon but the artist formerly known as Camila Cabello recently took us back with a loved accessory that’s still relevant today: butterfly clips.

Curated by hairstylist Sarah Potempa, Cabello’s tresses were styled in loose body waves with a short middle part and colorful butterfly clips face-framed in tendrils. The beloved hair accessory was a staple in the mid to late ’90s and could be seen in various shapes, sizes and finishes on any tween and young adult. One of the best parts about the butterfly clips is that you can throw them in your hair and go — you don’t have to match your look of the day, just come with the vibes.

Makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez sealed the deal on Cabello’s look by beating her out with a neutral smokey eye, flesh-toned pink lips and airbrushed blush, etching out a total Clueless moment. We’re sure there will be many more celebrities following Cabello pulling this exact look in their own way.
