'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' Film Will Not Feature End Credits Scene
Going against Marvel tradition.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has to be one of the most highly anticipated films coming out this fall. The action-packed Marvel movie arrives in theaters next week and while the legendary superhero movies are known for leaving Easter eggs in the end credits scene, it appears Wakanda is not getting the same treatment.
Producer Nate More confirmed fans would not have to stay in theaters until the very end, sharing in a recent interview with Collider, they never intended the film to have one in the first place. While he’s heard the rumors, he let fans know specifically why they should not expect any post-credit scenes.
Moore reveals, “I’ve heard those rumors, too. No, I think the subject matter of the film was such that it didn’t feel appropriate to have, then, a stinger. Much like [Avengers:] Endgame felt like an emotional experience that you also didn’t need a stinger at the end of this. This felt like we just wanted to tell the story as it was conceived without an added bonus. So, unfortunately, there isn’t an end credits [scene].”
The upcoming installment in the Black Panther franchise comes after the devastating loss of actor Chadwick Boseman who died battling cancer in 2020. Rihanna‘s track, “Lift Me Up,” pays tribute to the fallen star.
In other words, come prepared with a box of tissues. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11.
