Keke Palmer Has the Perfect Clapback at Those Calling Her "Ugly"
“I wish I could bottle how I feel about myself and sell it,” she says.
Keke Palmer took to Twitter to share how she feels about the haters.
The Nope star slammed those who are criticizing her appearance with a powerful message. “I just saw a few comments of people saying I was ugly cause I wasn’t wearing any makeup,” she wrote. “And I really want y’all to get the help y’all need because makeup isn’t real. I’m beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like.”
“I wish I could bottle how I feel about myself and sell it,” she added in a second tweet. “Because some people take comments to heart and these ppl just say anything. I mean truly it’s insane to say anyone is ugly, but especially me.”
Palmer, who recently announced she’s expecting her first child, is known for embracing her natural beauty, including her bare face. In fact, she’s opened up about her struggle with hormonal acne caused by PCOS.
In December 2020, she shared a lengthy message about dealing with PCOS.
“Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome has been attacking me from the inside out my entire life and I had no idea,” she wrote at the time. “My acne has been so bad that people in my field offered to pay for me to get it fixed. I tried EVERYTHING. I did Accutane TWICE. People say drink water, have a better diet, but I did all that, I ate all the ‘right’ things, my blood tests were fine. But it took ME taking a personal look into my family that has a history of diabetes and obesity, to understand what was ACTUALLY happening with me.”
She continued, “I’m posting this to say that it’s okay and we can help ourselves. My skin has made me sad many nights but I do not give up on myself. I know this is not me and my body has been looking for help. I do not have a medical degree but I did the research and took what I learned to a doctor and that led them to a proper diagnosis. I’m not saying trust web md for everything haha but what I am saying is no one can help us like we can help ourselves.”
