Marni Hops Into the Year of the Rabbit
Introducing its Chinese New Year capsule.
Italian brand Marni has just unveiled its Chinese New Year collection, celebrating the Year of the Rabbit with an abundance of color and texture.
Working with Italian artist Flaminia Veronesi, creative director Francesco Risso has delivered a festive assortment of expertly-crafted sweaters and trousers easily hops into the new year as pastel garments immediately exude joy. The kitschy knits arrive in an uber-saturated palette of lilacs, soft pinks and creams as cozy mohair cardigans are outfitted with dopamine-inducing illustrations of adorable teddy bears and oversized beating hearts. Heavily branded parachute denim pants make a bold appearance, while green and white gingham trousers add an element of excitement.
Cozy zip-ups come in clutch as they boast candy-cane striped collars atop child-core-inspired designs. Prancing bunnies make their way across bubblegum-colored sweaters, infusing the heavy tops with a sense of levity and play. Accessories are not left behind as they continue to carry the soft and fuzzy theme forward in the form of Pablo Touch-Strap Mary-Jane shoes, complete with furry uppers. Blindingly white and yellow Dada Bumper sneakers also make their mark, accompanying necklaces adorned with rabbit pendants and supple calf leather handbags.
