"GucciCore" Documents the Duality of New Yorkers
From Times Square to the timeline.
Gucci is back in New York City. Following its Times Square runway show, which took place back in May, the House has unveiled the campaign for “GucciCore”, and it’s essentially a love letter to the city’s streets.
Photographer Peter Funch shot eclectic groups of New Yorkers mid-stride, building on his long-running fascination with how individuals move within a crowd. The result brings together different personalities, styles and ways of wearing clothes, acting as a tribute to the city itself.
The collection spotlights everyday heroes like peacoats, trench coats, sharp business suits, crisp shirts and pencil skirts, balanced with a healthy dose of Italian glamor, as Gucci does best. It continues the House’s renewed focus on wardrobe essentials under Demna, following his “La Famiglia” lookbook debut and the star-studded short film The Tiger in 2025.
