Snapchat Is Awarding Over $125K USD in Holiday Season Spotlight Challenges Prizes
Winners will be selected upon unique content rather than the number of likes or views.
Snapchat is joining the holiday season magic with a new take on its beloved Spotlight Challenges. During the month of December, users can earn a share of $125,000 USD by showing their most festive Snaps through a variety of challenges.
From the best (or worst) Ugly Sweater to sharing what mischievous mayhem your Elf on the Shelf is getting into, a total of 16 challenges will be available for anyone to join each week regardless of their subscriber numbers. Spotlight Challenges winners will be selected upon unique content rather than the number of likes or views.
Since its launch in late 2021, Snapchat’s in-app entertainment platform for UGC Spotlight Challenges has been offering cash prizes for the most entertaining Snaps on Spotlight. This year’s biggest winner, Hayley Thompson, has won 14 Challenges totaling $31,000 USD, followed by Florida native Logan Hunter, who has earned himself $27,500 USD so far this year winning 12 challenges.
To participate, simply access Spotlight to the right of the camera via the “Play” symbol and tap the trending up option at the top right corner of Spotlight. You can then select any of the above corresponding Spotlight Challenge hashtags and create a video using the Snapchat Camera or upload one to enter.
