Meet FAINA, a Furniture Brand Rooted in Ukrainian Heritage
Where modern design and ancient cultural symbols meet.
Founded by Ukrainian-born architect Victoria Yakusha, FAINA specializes in furniture, lighting and decor inspired by the Ukrainian culture.
“At FAINA we are driven by the mission to pass on history. We bring artisanal craftsmanship into modern design and revive ancient cultural symbols,” Yakusha said in a press release. “Made in a sustainable manner, by hand, primitive archetypal objects tell the story of my land. This is what gives them energy, meaning and soul.”
For its latest design gallery dubbed “Live Design,” the brand has produced a range of monochrome spaces, with each earthy shade exploring the depth of hues through different textures. Standout pieces include the hand-sculpted SONIAH lamps and the PLYN sofa and bench featuring organic curves. Displayed on the stainless steel bespoke cabinet are FAINA ceramics, glass decor and home scents. “In Ukraine, we have a strong connection to the earth. She gives strength, guides have a magical power to ground,” Yakusha commented on “Live Design.”
