Showtime has unveiled its official trailer for The First Lady. The series will delve deep into the personal and political lives of the White House’s former First Ladies: Michelle Obama, Betty Ford and Eleanor Roosevelt.
The visual begins with Michelle Obama (Viola Davis) getting a headshot, followed by snippets of Betty Ford (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Eleanor Roosevelt (Gillian Anderson) getting ready to face the press. “How do you really feel about being First Lady?” an unknown voice asks. Showcasing three different timelines, the show spotlights each woman’s story and reveals how the White House affected them. Other notable actors in the cast include Dakota Fanning as Susan Ford, Kiefer Sutherland as Franklin D. Roosevelt and O-T Fagbenle as Barack Obama.
