'Squid Game' Director Hwang Dong-hyuk Says Upcoming Movie Is "More Violent"
He fears he might have to hide from old people after the film premieres.
Apart from the second season of the hit Korean series, Squid Game director Hwang Dong-hyuk is working on a new movie.
In a recent interview, Hwang revealed that the upcoming film is titled Killing Old People Club, or K.O. Club, and is inspired by a novel by Umberto Eco. The creative said he is still in the process of writing the script, adding that the story will be “another controversial film” and will be “more violent than Squid Game.” He shared that he “might have to hide from old people after the film comes out.”
Hwang hasn’t unveiled any additional information on K.O. Club so far. However, the director said that he is returning back to South Korea to write the second season of Squid Game, which he expects will premiere by the end of 2024.
