Instagram Is Testing a Full-Screen Home Feed, Similar to TikTok's
The social media platform continues to push video content.
Instagram continues to push short-form video content, with its latest update featuring a full-screen home feed similar to TikTok‘s.
As reported by Tech Crunch, the Meta-owned platform is testing out a new layout where the main feed shows vertical videos in full-screen form. The company’s head Adam Mosseri confirmed the news via Twitter, explaining that this update “bring[s] video more front and center.”
Unlike the current design that most of us are used to, the full-screen layout displays the buttons for likes and comments on top of the content, rather than beneath it. As usual, the Search, Reels and Shopping tabs will be available at the bottom of the screen, while notifications, messages and more will stay at the top.
Take a sneak peek at the new layout above and below.
