Topicals, the skincare brand that addresses skin conditions in people of color, changes how we engage with retinol. Slather, an exfoliating body serum, is the brand’s latest release that’s geared toward removing dead skin cells and unclogging pores in the upper and lower body areas.

Retinol is mainly applied to the face to eliminate and reduce signs of aging and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and skin texture for flawless skin. Slather was designed to recalibrate those concerns for the body as this serum will exfoliate, treat and soothe textured skin, dry patches, strawberry skin and flakiness. The body serum is formulated with additional key ingredients such as lactic acid and squalane, leaving your skin feeling silky smooth.

“Retinol, typically reserved for more mature skin, makes its debut in our body care routines in a new way. From late-night mini skirt adventures to gossip-filled sleepovers, Slather exfoliates dead skin and clogged pores for soft-touch skin,” Topicals CEO Olamide Olowe said in a press release.

Topicals’ Slather body serum is available for $30 USD at the brand’s web store.
