Kourtney Kardashian Was Told to Drink Travis Barker's Semen
The reality star reveals her fertility doctor’s bizarre advice.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been openly sharing their fertility journey via Hulu‘s reality show The Kardashians. In the latest episode of the series, the reality star reveals that her doctor advised her to drink her husband’s semen.
The couple visited Ayurvedic guru Martha Soffer for special treatment in hopes of having a child together. There, she shared: “I can’t remember what he said, if it was low or high. But he told us, well, he told me, that the thing that would help it was drinking [Travis’] cum, like, four times a week.” Barker joked: “I love this doctor.” The two didn’t specify whether they’ve followed through with the advice.
According to Dr. Verity Biggs via Cosmopolitan UK, ingesting semen is “processed very much like any other food or drink we ingest. It enters the stomach and is broken down and digested.” She continues: “The composition of semen can be affected by diet and lifestyle. Semen contains chemicals like melatonin, oxytocin and progesterones and even anti-oxidants [which] in turn could possibly help to improve mood or have stress-relieving properties.”
