Here's Your First Look at 'The Hunger Games' Prequel
Set to star Tom Blyth as young President Snow and Rachel Zegler as Lucy Gray.
The Hunger Games prequel, also known as The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, is set to premiere next year. Ahead of the release, an exclusive first look has been revealed prior to the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Based on Suzanne Collins’ 2019 novel of the same name, the upcoming film follows the story of young President Coriolanus Snow, who Donald Sutherland played in the original trilogy. Tom Blyth has been cast to portray Snow in this new movie.
Joining the project is West Side Story‘s Rachel Zegler who will take on the role of Lucy Gray Baird, a District 12 tribute Snow is in charge of Snow. “Like everybody, I first saw Rachel Zegler in West Side Story, and like everybody, I knew I was watching a star who would command the screen for a generation,” Jennifer Lawrence said, as per Deadline. “Lucy Gray is a perfect match for her as an actress: the character is bold, independent, and defiant, but also vulnerable, emotional, and loving. Rachel will make this character unforgettable.”
