Anya Taylor-Joy is fighting for her life in the upcoming thriller The Menu. In the trailer, The Queen’s Gambit star is accompanied by her date, portrayed by Nicholas Hoult, as they try to escape before it’s too late.
According to IMDb, “A young couple travel to a remote island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef (Ralph Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.”
The meals function as a life-altering puzzle, which guests must solve in order to survive. “He’s not just a chef. He’s a storyteller,” Hoult’s character tells Taylor-Joy’s. “The game is trying to guess what the overarching theme of the entire meal is going to be. You won’t know until the end.”
