Paco Rabanne Unveils FW22 Collection "Sensory Forms"

Dance floor-ready sequins and peplum waists fill Paco Rabanne‘s Fall/Winter 2022 collection, raises a toast to life. The carefully considered silhouettes demonstrate designer Julien Dossena‘s desire for movement and fluidity as the creative shares, “I wanted the conceptual feeling of the runway to come through in this campaign — and to show how such soft and fluid clothes can create an impression that is at once protective and freeing.”
Exaggerated tailoring harmonizes the entire collection — baby pink, dark floral and dazzling silver sequined skirts all share a flirtatious ruffled hem. Elsewhere, dominatrix-appropriate tops arrive with similarly voluminous cuffs and hems. The sleek black iteration steals the show as its cinched waist adds extra oomph, whereas the light pink jacket is adorned with eye-catching crystal buttons and a slightly textured chest. Other standouts include form-fitting sequined pants and a rhinestone-covered camel turtleneck.
The collection’s accessories perfectly complement its garments — chunky link bracelets in gold and green and silver colorways. Meanwhile, utterly unique handbags make a stunning sartorial statement. Keeping with the collection’s color palette, one bag arrives adorned with ’60s-esque pink round acrylic disks, while the other is covered in chain metal.
