Acne Studios Taps Ronan Mckenzie for FW22 Campaign, Exhibition and Book

Spotlighting the brand’s latest denim range.

Acne Studios has joined forces with photographer Ronan Mckenzie to lens its Fall/Winter 2022 denim range. The visuals, shot in Barbados, are accompanied by an exhibition and publication as well as a documentary directed by the creative.

“This whole project is about my relationship to Barbados, creating space to explore and tell my own story and that of my family,” Mckenzie shares in a press release. “It’s difficult to put words to how it feels to have complete trust and freedom and support in creating works that are so personal and important to me… It’s the first time that I’ve been given the opportunity to truly take ownership over a project and bring it to life in completely non-compromising way.”

The campaign, launched at the London-based gallery HOME, marks the beginning of Acne’s ongoing series dubbed “Be Good Now” and captures Bajan models wearing denim in unconventional ways and experimental combinations. The looks are also featured in an accompanying documentary titled All Comes Neatly Everywhere, which features Mckenzie’s mother with styling by Tess Herbert, celebrating local talent while exploring the creative’s family history and heritage.

In addition to HOME, the limited-edition publication by Mckenzie is available at Acne Studios Dover Street London. The FW22 denim collection is now available in stores worldwide and at Acne Studio’s web store.
