ORIGINAL STORY (April 3, 2023): Summer Walker is getting ready to release a new music project. During her set at Dreamville Festival on Sunday night, the rapper announced she’s dropping an EP titled Clear 2: Soft Life.
“Just wanted to let y’all guys know that I have an EP dropping … May 19th. Go to my website if you wanna pre-order it,” she said on stage. “Y’all ready for some new music?”
Clear 2 is the sequel to 2019 EP, Clear. However, the forthcoming project will be the follow-up to her sophomore album, Still Over It, which she released in 2021. The successful LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album served as a learning experience for listeners.
“Take this opportunity to learn from my mistakes. You don’t have to guess if something is love,” she told Apple Music at the time. ”Love is shown through actions. Stop making excuses for people who don’t show up for you. Don’t ignore the red flags. And don’t think you have to stay somewhere ’cause you can’t find better — you can and you will. Don’t settle for less — you don’t deserve it and neither does your family.”
