Jean Paul Gaultier Kicks off Pride 2023 Early With a Significant Message

JPG said “Get used to it.”

Jean Paul Gaultier, the French designer that has waved the flag for radical acceptance since the inception of his eponymous brand in 1976, has merged fashion and beauty to tell an artisanal story through the lens of fragrance with the drop of its limited-edition Pride bottles.

The new Pride 2023 collection features a chrome-plated body inspired by the House’s iconic archives. A slogan present in the 1994 spring/summer collection t-shirts, “Get Used to It,” is a sheer and consistent reminder and commitment to the fundamental values of the LGBTQIA+ community, conveying a message of humanism and self-love. This same spirit transcends to Gaultier’s fragrances and packaging. The world-famous bottles mimic the shape of a naked torso and have nose-catching notes of woody citrus paired with orange and neroli for a zesty yet decadent scent experience.

Jean Paul Gaultier continues to manifest its support to all associations helping to make a difference and change mentalities in the world. The brand has partnered with organizations such as The Center in New York City, Le Refuge in France, COGAM in Spain, and Casa Arcobaleno in Italy.

The brand’s Pride limited-edition fragrance is up for grabs via Jean Paul Gaultier’s website starting May 15 and is available in the iconic Classique and Le Male bottles.
