Here Are the Winners of the 2023 BAFTA TV Awards
Including ‘Derry Girls,’ ‘Bad Sisters’ and last year’s UEFA Women’s Euro coverage.
The 2023 BAFTA TV Awards took place on May 14, and the full list of winners is a pretty impressive one.
The “Leading Actor” category saw the likes of Cillian Murphy and Taron Egerton leading the charge, with This Is Going to Hurt‘s Ben Whishaw taking the win. Elsewhere, the “Leading Actress” category initially included Top Boy stars Jasmine Jobson and Saffron Hocking, with the win awarded to Kate Winslet for I Am Ruth. Comedy shows like Derry Girls and Am I Being Unreasonable? made the winners list, alongside Bad Sisters — which won multiple awards.
Elsewhere, international shows like The White Lotus and Wednesday featured in this year’s list of nominees — which is fairly unsurprising considering the meteoric rise of Jenna Ortega and the industry’s unconditional love for Jennifer Coolidge. However, it’s documentary Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which took home the award. Alongside comedy series, this year’s BAFTA TV winners list includes a range of news and sports coverage — with the UEFA Women’s Euro making the winners list this year.
