What BLACKPINK's Jennie Wore to the 2023 Met Gala
Chanel, duh.
As a Chanel ambassador, it was inevitable that BLACKPINK member Jennie would be one of the many stars to understand the assignment at this year’s Met Gala — of which the 2023 theme was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.
As a result, the K-pop star graced the humble red carpet dressed in an ivory duchesse satin bustier dress from Chanel, embellished with a white camélia flower and bold black ribbon. The outfit was taken from look 164 from the brand’s Fall/Winter 1990/1991 Ready-to-Wear collection, paying true homage to Lagerfeld’s vintage designs.
Jennie paired the classic look with a Chanel bag and shoes, alongside Chanel high jewelry and makeup. To complete the Met Gala ensemble, the artist wore her hair with a thick braid and coordinating camélia flower, pairing the look with black gloves, a choker and tights.
