Jennifer Lopez Shows Us How To Glow With a "One Layer" Skincare/Makeup Hybrid Routine

It’s all about the “dot, blend and glow” method.

For many of us, thanks to the beauty side of TikTok, we’ve learned many skincare hacks that we’d wish we’d known sooner. Occasionally an A-lister will take to social media to share tips and tricks that work for their skin. As a beauty editor and long-time industry worker, I roll my eyes because yes, the celeb may have a great skincare routine, but they usually pay someone top dollar to have the skin that they have. However, Jennifer Lopez has hit the scene with a new hack that I’m sure we’ve never seen before and it has the girls too stunned to speak. (Myself included.)

The star took to Instagram to walk us through a “contour and highlight” method using skincare from her eponymous skincare line. Things start off normal as she rubs the first serum into her face, but things take an unexpected turn when she brings out her moisturizer and instead of rubbing it in like the serum, she dots around her face. Filling in the gaps, she takes her eye cream and dots underneath her eyes and brow bone.

The next step involves the use of a contour product. She applies liquid contour followed by a highlighter on the apples of her cheeks and around her forehead and chin. She spots the liquid highlighter down the bridge of her nose, cheekbone, cupids bow and underneath the brows, rubbing everything in at once — giving her that “JLo Glow.”

The “one-layer” skincare hybrid makeup routine is simply genius and for sure one that I’ll be adding to my list of things to try.

Take a closer look ahead.
