Dua Lipa and Boyfriend Romain Gavras Make Red Carpet Debut at Cannes

Dua Lipa just made her red carpet couple debut with boyfriend Romain Gavras, spotted attending this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
The singer was first linked to Gavras earlier this year after the pair were seen holding hands during Paris Fashion Week, not long after they were spotted leaving a BAFTA afterparty. Sources also claimed that the couple had been “quietly getting to know each other” for a few months, though little else was known about the pairing at the time.
Now, it appears Lipa’s gone from a soft launch to a full-on debut, as she and the music video and film director made their debut as a couple on the red carpet at Cannes. The artist also shared some adorable pictures on Instagram, writing a French caption which translates to “Last night in Cannes with my sweetheart.”
While it’s still unclear as to how they met, Gavras has been in the music industry for some time, known for his work on M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls” music video, alongside directing Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean’s “No Church in the Wild.” Gavras has previously been linked to Rita Ora, and at present, is 14 years older than Lipa.
