The adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 "Pirate Black" Gets an Official Release Date

With more colorways coming soon.

adidas is sticking to its word when it comes to releasing archive YEEZY product, as the next iteration of adidas YEEZY sneakers is officially coming soon.

Arriving in the form of the OG YEEZY BOOST 350 in “Pirate Black,” the latest offering is set to be in line with the original designs from August 2015, crafted with black and grey Primeknit uppers and complete with red stitching across its heel tab. Rounding out the classic silhouette are black rubber sole units, each equipped with adidas’ signature full-length Boost cushioning.

Speaking about the decision to continue releasing YEEZY products, adidas confirmed that a select amount of the proceeds would be donated to “selected organizations working to combat discrimination and hate, including racism and antisemitism.”

The brand’s CEO, Bjørn Gulden, added that “Selling and donating was the preferred option among all organizations and stakeholders we spoke to. We believe this is the best solution as it respects the created designs and produced shoes, it works for our people, resolves an inventory problem, and will have a positive impact on our communities. There is no place in sport or society for hate of any kind and we remain committed to fighting against it.”

Take a look at the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 “Pirate Black” above, set to drop on May 31 via adidas CONFIRMED for $200 USD.

In other footwear news, Kanye West recently filed a trademark for YEEZY sock shoes.
