The New adiFom Stan Smith Mule Will Be Your Summer Footwear Staple
And it comes in six striking colors.
The design first made its debut back in 1865 and has since been the subject of multiple remakes and collaborations, but something about this iteration feels starkly different. For one, it’s difficult to work out which elements of the classic Stan Smith have remained, as its contemporary counterpart feels like a pretty big departure.
Dubbed the adidas adiFom Stan Smith Mule, the new shoe arrives crafted with a cushioned foam upper, made from sugarcane. The sleek design takes cues from the Stan Smith shape, complete with curved heel tabs cut in half, with adidas’ signature Trefoil emblem appearing on the shoe’s laceless toe boxes. The backless mule comes complete with thick platform soles and embossed adidas branding, landing in six vibrant colorways of bright green, black, pink, beige, lime and khaki.
