Rob Grant Debuts First Studio Album 'Lost at Sea'
Like father, like daugher.
Lana Del Rey‘s dad, Rob Grant, has just released his very first studio album, Lost at Sea.
Following in his daughter’s footsteps (or she in his) with a nautically-inspired narrative, Del Rey is the only guest artist on the entire album, lending her vocals to the title track as well as the last single, “Hollywood Bowl.” Featuring 14 tracks, the debut album is a sonic ode to the water, including emotional piano melodies.
Regarded as the first “nepo daddy” according to GQ, Grant revealed in an interview that his daughters’ producers helped him bring his first album to fruition. Del Rey’s manager Ben Mawson shared Grant’s tracks with Decca Records, while Luke Howard and Del Rey’s longtime collaborator and producer, Jack Antonoff, assisted in “shaping his songs.”
