Issa Rae's 'Barbie' "Sex Ed" Confession Is Us AF
So we were all making our Barbies scissor?
It’s no secret that the upcoming Barbie movie has been fueling inner-children worldwide. And President Barbie — oh, excuse us — actor Issa Rae is clearly not exempt. Ironically, her confession is resonating with women, too.
“My Barbies were fulfilling scenarios,” Rae told the interviewer. ”As a kid I just wanted to play and tell stories and make them kiss,” Rae continued boldly. “They were my opportunity to play God — Barbie’s were the Sims for me before I played the Sims…
They were also like sex ed, when I didn’t know what sex was.”
For some, this topic may be entirely taboo. But one thing that femmes worldwide can agree on: same. Don’t believe us? Keep scrolling.

I’m happy the lead up to the Barbie movie has made a lot of us admit that we made our Barbie’s scissor, but now it’s like I expect a scissoring scene in the movie and I’m not sure that’s realistic.
