Bottega Veneta x Magma Dive Into the Mind of an Artist With Exclusive Magazine

An ode to artistic expression.

Paying homage to the artist’s manifesto, Bottega Veneta is partnering with Magma to release an exclusive magazine.

Looking to Georges Bataille’s Documents, the surrealist Minotaure  and the first issues of Andy Warhol‘s Interview as inspiration, the special publication celebrates risk-taking and innovative artistic expression, gathering creative minds to push up against the boundaries of art. The annually published magazine features a curated selection of 18 artists,  showcasing their original or unseen work created specifically for the publication. Among them are architect and designer India Mahdavi, French conceptual artist Sophe Calle and renowned Swiss curator Hans Ulrich Obrist. Within the text also lies a piece by Andra Ursuta, as well as an unpublished text by the late French poet, Rene Char.

Inspired by the spirit of “revues d’art,” Magma is not just a magazine, but a portal to a living, breathing dialogue between the artists and readers.

Magma will be published annually and can be found in bookstores, galleries and museums around the world with a limited number of 2000 copies. Available in French and English and launching on July 6 for £60 EUR or $66 USD, Bottega Veneta is Magma’s exclusive advertiser, featuring a special campaign designed specifically for the magazine.
