“People are loving the notion of “Why should your face have all the fun?” Our facial skin care usually gets all of the actives, interesting ingredients and all-around; we pay so much more attention to our face and our body often gets left out,” Tegbe says to Hypebae Beauty when asked what makes the cream a hot seller. “With Barrier Repair Cloud Cream, we really wanted to craft a body cream that was powerful, intentional and decadent.
It’s no coincidence that the Barrier Repair Cloud Cream is making such a significant impact on the body care industry. The product was crafted with meticulous care and attention to detail, taking a total of three years to develop. “We went through so many different samples and iterations. I had been researching the South African resurrection plant during the pandemic and knew that I really wanted to include this ingredient in a product,” Tegbe says. “This was the brand’s first time working with certain actives, like peptides, ceramides and sodium hyaluronate, and we were so excited to marry them with ancestral African super plants like the resurrection plant.”
