ASICS Is Walking on the Moon With Limited-Edition Gel-Kahana TR V2

On the light and dark side of the moon.

ASICS is setting out for space as the footwear brand is updating the GEL-KAHANA TR V2 for a limited-edition set, “MOON PACK.”

The silhouette takes off in both two contrasting colorways, representing the light and dark side of the moon. The sneaker itself is crafted from mesh and rubberized ripstop, while metallic ASICS stripe logos touch the lighter pair. Staying true to its functional ethos, the refreshed GEL-KAHANA TR V2 comes equipped with external lacing systems for added support.

The primary set of laces are strung through metal eyelets and are secured with metal hooks for durability. The second set of laces increase stability as it envelops the shoe from toe to heel, staying in place with an adjustable clasp system. The intricate lace system ensures the wearer’s foot is comfortable and snug, allowing them to traverse any terrain, even craters.

Although ASICS has yet to confirm, the “MOON PACK” may be released exclusively to China on the brand’s online store on August 12 for $110 USD.
