Would You Cut Off Your "Friends" for Your Boyfriend?
Celebrity couple Irina Shayk and Tom Brady spark a new debate.
Russian model Irina Shayk is allegedly dating former NFL player Tom Brady — and it’s not giving girl code.
According to “sources,” Shayk has begun cutting off her friends to avoid any “moles” interrupting the relationship. In the case of celebrity couples, it makes complete sense to do so as a protective measure. But, it’s 2023 and of course, the tabloids have run with the story which brings us to a newly pressing matter: when is it okay to cut your friends off for your lover?
We all have those friends who fall off the face of the planet when they meet a new lover or try to invite them out to every “girl dinner.” But cutting off your friends is a low women should actively avoid ever touching.
Unless these friends have proven to be toxic, cutting your friends off for your lover is not okay. Aside from the obvious fact that it’s rude and sisterhood should take precedence, this is a form of isolation and makes you susceptible to toxic lovers. For example, see Jonah Hill’s text messages and hit Netflix documentary, Bad Vegan.
