Sporty & Rich Announce adidas Originals SL72 "Sweden Pack"
Inspired by founder Emily Oberg’s half-Swedish roots.
Sporty & Rich and adidas Originals just announced the latest installment of their ongoing partnership, teaming up to revive the classic SL72 sneaker once again. Paying tribute to Emily Oberg‘s half-Swedish roots, the new collection is titled the “Sweden Pack” and arrives in three striking colorways inspired by the 1970s.
Including “Mint Rush/Power Purple,” “Real Blue/Light Yellow” and “Light Yellow/Real Blue,” the collection fuses adidas’ athletic prowess with Oberg’s New York-based label’s aesthetic. Each colorway of the archival silhouette was teased earlier this year, with the “Mint Rush” and “Light Yellow” iterations first surfacing back in October, while the inverse “Real Blue” colorway was previewed back in March.
Crafted with classic nylon uppers, the SL72 boasts sleek suede overlays and contrasting leather stripes. Elsewhere, hits of branding appear on the shoe’s tongue, complete with the Sporty & Rich logo stamped across the three stripes.
