JW Anderson Celebrates Luca Guadagnino's 'Queer' With New Capsule
Featuring T-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts adorned with film stills and quotes.
Jonathan Anderson and the world of film have always been inseparable. Take JW Anderson‘s Howl’s Moving Castle collection or the outfits in Challengers, for example, and it’s not hard to see that film plays a huge part in inspiring this London-based designer.
In celebration of the release of Queer, a new adaptation by Luca Guadagnino which features costume design by Anderson, the designer has created a capsule collection that tributes the film’s core motifs, themes and central imagery. The collection features the film’s title across sweatshirts in grey, gold, bright pink and “Steel Blue” along with film credits in tribute to Queer‘s official poster design.
Elsewhere, the collection includes two hoodies with bead-embellished drawstrings featuring the quote “I want to talk to you… without speaking” on the back, in grey and navy colorways. Additional sweatshirts arrive in “Cornflower Blue,” light pink, maroon and bright green, adorned with stills from the film that feature Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey.
Finally, the capsule collection is complete with T-shirts in grey melange and “Steel Blue” alongside an off-white tote bag and two caps in khaki and navy.
The capsule is now available for purchase via JW Anderson’s London and Milan stores alongside the brand’s website, coinciding with the film’s release.
