Daily Paper Explores Rhythm and Community for SS24

Alongside a new collaboration with Nigerian visual artist Alexis Tsegba, known for her exploration of Afrofuturism.

Daily Paper‘s new Spring/Summer 2024 collection just dropped, reflecting on the journey surrounding finding one’s rhythm. Aptly named “Our Rhythm,” the new collection offers a range of seasonal new styles, each united by a strong sense of movement.

“Your natural rhythm is found at home and within your community,” reads this season’s press release, explaining that, “As part of the Diaspora, one shares the feeling of growing up in a country or culture that doesn’t belong to them. The space feels temporary, and a sense of belonging is missing. The search for a rhythm that feels natural, good, and comfortable becomes essential.”

As a result, SS24 looks to replicate a sense of people finding their rhythm through prints and graphics, reflecting harmony and community. The rhythm is translated onto hoodies, T-shirts, tailored suits and co-ords, arriving in earthly hues of grey, brown, blue and white. Dynamic patterns and diverse cuts characterize the collection, alongside new denim, cargo and crochet styles.

Elsewhere, the Earth’s influences and natural rhythms within animals and migration serve as inspiration, mirrored through cargo-style silhouettes and natural prints. Classic monogram denim arrives with a “destroyed” twist, while vintage-inspired blues offer a nostalgic approach. This season also debuts a new collaboration with Nigerian visual artist Alexis Tsegba, whose exploration of Afrofuturism and identity manifests through new digital prints.

Finally, Daily Paper’s ready-to-wear offering is rounded out by statement bags like the Cimbia, Codu, Meru and Nay, available in new baby blue and “Moonstruck Grey” colorways.
