Dystopian Deserts Are the Backdrop for Rabanne's SS26 Campaign
Creating a cinematic allure that reflects the season’s silhouettes.
Saturated sunsets and lounging muses make up the core of Rabanne’s Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, landing somewhere between idyll and unease. A surrealist desert-scape makes the radiant backdrop for the season’s collection, ideal for the visions of glamor.
Titled “The Wakening,” the imagery evokes tensions and contrasts within the collection and echoes the atmosphere of the 1950s, a decade balanced between optimism and anxiety. In the same vein, glamor sits alongside disruptive edge, coexisting delicately here. A group of models is seen gathering in a contemplative stillness with a charged atmosphere, where both the lighting and set design seem to recreate a calm before the storm. Heightened colors create an ethereal, almost dystopian glow, complemented by the season’s design language.
Cinematic allure and fleeting escapism are channelled in a setting that perfectly reflects the swimwear silhouettes, palm tree prints and sparkling jewelry offerings. Through this balance between serenity and tension, Rabanne conveys its bold and culturally attuned ethos. Through both tranquil and turbulent times, there’s always a yearning for hopeful horizons carrying us forward.
