Gentle Monster and Mugler Announce Future-Facing Eyewear
Think futuristic Black Swan but make it fashion. And then some.
Gentle Monster is at it again. We thought it couldn’t possibly outdo itself after its Jennie collection, yet here we are: back with another stellar collaboration. This time, the sunglasses pioneer is teaming up with Mugler, fusing the fashion label’s distinctive heritage with GM’s signature fluid aesthetics.
The collaboration consists of two core frame silhouettes. First up is Spiral 01 — which draws inspiration from Mugler’s Fourmis eyewear, launching back in 1997 as part of its “Les Insectes” haute couture collection. Second is Spiral 02, featuring embossed line detailing and a sleek chrome logo on its temples.
As always, Gentle Monster’s latest collaboration isn’t just about glasses. No, never. Instead, it’s an entirely immersive experience from start to finish, and that includes the collaborative packaging design, exploring organic and structural forms encased in a future-facing vision.
To celebrate the new release, Colin Jones and Georgia Palmer star in a futuristic campaign, lensed by Theo Liu and paying homage to Thierry Mugler and Helmut Newtown.
